Sufficient evidence shows Dalai clique instigates riots

Special Report: 3.14 Tibet RiotsChina's Ministry of Public Security has said there is sufficient evidence to show that the March 14th riots in Lhasa was part of the so-called "Tibetan People's Uprising Movement" planned by the Dalai clique. A Ministry spokesman made the claim while confirming the latest results of an investigation into the Lhasa riots.
Ministry spokesman Wu Heping said Lhasa police have arrested a suspect who was directly involved in organizing and plotting the Lhasa riots, and who has already confessed to an involvement in separatist activities. |
The Ministry said security authorities have arrested a group connected to the overseas Dalai clique, who they say are responsible for the Lhasa riots on March 14th. They also claimed to have verified the overseas network of an official from the Dalai clique.
Ministry spokesman Wu Heping said Lhasa police have arrested a suspect who was directly involved in organizing and plotting the Lhasa riots, and who has already confessed to an involvement in separatist activities.
Police have captured a large number of weapons in some temples, including 178 guns, more than 13,000 bullets, over 3,500 kilograms of explosives, more than 19,000 detonators and two grenades. |
Wu Heping said, "We now have sufficient evidence to prove that the March 14th incidents were part of a series of activities that form part of the "Tibetan people's uprising movement", which was masterminded by the Dalai clique. Their movement aims to create a crisis in China by staging coordinated` sabotage activities in Tibet."
