Victims of the March 14th riots in Tibet have begun to receive compensation from the Tibet Autonomous Regional government.

Under the compensation plan, victims who are experiencing living difficulties are entitled to a subsidy of 260 yuan per month for two years.

The government will also pay for the medical expenses of people who do not have medical insurance.
