They say these acts were conducted by a small group of people trying to sabotage the global Olympic movement. The officials expect a successful Beijing Olympic Games and say all the countries involved are eagerly awaiting this great event.
Officials from the IOC expressed regret over the disruptions during the torch relay. They say such actions violate the Olympic spirit.
Secretary-general of French Olympic Committee,said, "We deeply regret the disruption in the relay. France will never boycott the Olympics."
Many countries are working hard to prepare for the upcoming games. They praised Beijing's dedication and effort, and urge people not to politicize the grand sports event.
The officials say they'll continue to support the flame's Journey of Harmony, and are confident of its success.
