The meeting, scheduled from April 11th to 13th, will give participants a chance to discuss the challenges and opportunities influencing Asia's environmental future. Organizers say, due to excessive applications this year, it had to close the registration date earlier than planned.

Chinese President Hu Jintao will attend the opening ceremony on April 12th, and deliver a keynote speech. Many foreign government leaders will also been seen at the meeting. Over 530 media participants will be covering the event.

Long Yongtu, Secretary-General of Boao Forum for Asia said "Everybody wants to hear of Voice of China, like what is China's view on the world economy. China has been through 30 years of reform and opening-up. People will be very interested in what China will do next, and what China thinks about the Asia economic development and regional economic cooperation."
