6-nation talks on Iran´s nuclear issue reach consensus

China says the six-nation talks on Iran's nuclear issue held in Shanghai have reached an "important consensus".

They can now start formulating a plan to restart negotiations.
Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister He Yafei said the parties held constructive discussions on the next steps. But did not offer any further information about the consensus.
The parties all agreed to maintain close communication and consultation in an effort to continue discussions on the unsolved issues.
He Yafei stressed China's call for a peaceful resolution. He urged relevant parties to reinforce their diplomatic efforts and demonstrate their flexibility to work out a plan to resume talks on a long-lasting settlement of the issue.
