Olympic flame arrives in HK

Special Report: 2008 Beijing Olympic GamesThe Olympic flame has arrived in Hong Kong S.A.R. for the 20th leg of the torch relay, and its first leg on Chinese soil.

Yang Shu'an, vice president of the Beijing Olympic organizing committee, brought the lantern down the steps of the aircraft to an enthusiastic reception from local schoolchildren.
The Hong Kong leg begins at 10 a.m. local time on Friday and will involve 120 torchbearers. Local media and residents have reacted positively ahead of the event. National flags were on sale in several retail chains.
Hong Kong residents say they will wave Chinese flags on Friday to mark the occasion and show their support for the Olympics.
