World media praise China for swift relief efforts

Special Report: Strong quake jolts SW ChinaNews media around the world have praised the Chinese government's quick reaction to the deadly earthquake that hit China's southwestern Sichuan province.
The Times of India said the Chinese military has always responded quickly to natural disasters. The long-term military training and high spirit contributes to prompt and effective mobilization and rescue operations.
Die Presse from Austria said the Chinese military is carrying out post-disaster measures perfectly.
The U.S. newspaper Christian Science Monitor has also spoken highly of what it calls the Chinese government's "efficient disaster relief" work. It said the government is very good at quickly putting together a disaster relief plan.
The Associate Press said such a quick response to the earthquake shows that the government is making the rescue operation its top priority.
A leading newspaper from Latvia also said the Chinese government, soldiers and people are doing everything they can do save lives affected by the disaster as soon as possible.
