Donations to China´s quake-hit regions rise to 21.4 bln yuan

BEIJING, May 22 (Xinhua) -- As of Thursday noon, donations from home and abroad to China's quake-hit regions had reached 21.4 billion yuan (3 billion U.S. dollars), up 5.4 billion yuan from the previous day, according to the Information Office of State Council.

So far, 1.9 billion yuan had been forwarded to the earthquake-affected areas, the office said.
