Among them, Tangjiashan lake is the biggest threat. 28 of the 34 "barrier lakes" in Sichuan are at risk of bursting. Six others are no longer considered a threat due to relief efforts and natural water run-off.
As monitoring continues, the Ministry of Water Resources says it's made major progress in relief efforts at Tangjiashan.
