Special Report:   U.S.Presidential Election 2008

Supporters of Hillary Clinton have reacted with mixed emotions, but most agree with her endorsement of Barack Obama as the Democratic presidential nominee. It has been a long and grueling race, ending with Clinton coming up just shy of earning the nomination.

Carolyn Gutierrez, one of Clinton supporters said "I have very mixed emotions. I'm very happy that our country will nominate a black man for president. I only wish they were electing, nominating, Hillary Clinton for president, but I think she's a great woman and she has done a great job as New York senator and I am hoping that she will be the vice-presidential candidate. I would be much happier voting the Democratic ticket if she were the vice-presidential candidate."

Erika Kane, one of Clinton supporters said "I think there's a lot of emotions here today. I think a lot of people are upset and bitter, and I think a lot of people just want to see her and are willing to give their support to whoever she supports."

John Withespoon, one of Clinton supporters said "I'm going to totally support Obama, I'm going to vote for him, I'm going to try to get my friends to vote for him. I think it'll be more of an uphill battle but here we go. I'm ready."
