Quake-affected students prepare for college entrance exam

Fan Wei is a student from a school in Jiangyou City who is being treated in hospital for severe fractures to both feet. But he has not been forgotten during the exam period. Local education authorities brought him revision materials and also provided him with a tutor.

Fan Wei, student of Jiangyou No.1 Middle School, said, "The past 12 years of study was to prepare for this exam so I don't want to give up now. With these books I think I will be able revise well and attend the exam full of confidence."

Some volunteers are also helping the students to relieve stress ahead of the exam.

Tang Gaoping, teacher of Beichuan Middle School, said, "Volunteers from Fudan University and Beijing Normal University are here to offer comfort to our students. One-to-one counseling has been arranged for those students who are experiencing serious psychological difficulties."
