At least 6 killed in Baghdad bombings

In Iraq, at least six people have been killed and dozens wounded in two separate bombings in Baghdad.

On Wednesday, a roadside bomb exploded near a bridge next to an American Military Police patrol. 5 people, including a woman and a seven-year-old boy on a passing minibus, were killed.

Across town, two mortar rounds hit a busy street in central Baghdad, killing a civilian and wounding five others. The blasts also caused minor damage to nearby shops.
