On Wednesday, another group of giant pandas was sent to the Ya-an Giant Panda Base. Authorities say about 80 percent of the pandas' habitat was completely destroyed by the quake. One panda died in the quake at the Wolong Nature Reserve, and another is still missing.
Water in the area is polluted, and much of the bamboo pandas need to survive is buried under rocks. The Wolong Nature Reserve will continue to gradually send pandas out of the damaged areas.
