Since the earthquake struck, the foundation has sent over 800 volunteer workers to Sichuan to support recovery and rebuilding efforts. |
The foundation has also initiated a plan to provide assistance to affected areas of Sichuan over a three-year period.
According to Tzu Chi staff, the plan will mainly focus on severely-hit Shifang City. The construction of temporary housing for local residents has already began. The foundation is also preparing to build a hospital and a school in the city.
Since the earthquake struck, the foundation has sent over 800 volunteer workers to Sichuan to support recovery and rebuilding efforts. Tzu Chi staff have also conducted fund-raising for those affected by the tragedy.
