About 100,000 high school students in Sichuan and Gansu provinces have taken the college entrance exam. Their exam was postponed because of the Wenchuan earthquake.

This was one of the test centers in Wenchuan County, the epicenter of the May 12th earthquake. After a grace period of one month, the students finally finished one of the most important exams of their life -- the annual college entrance exam.
Public security authorities were in charge of sending the test papers to a place 100 kilometers away from Wenchuan. Aware of the possibility of more landslides, road maintenance crews were also dispatched to ensure the test papers arrived at the center on time.

Tan Hong from Quake Rescue Ctr., Deyang People's Hospital, said, "We gave them check-ups and psychological counseling to ensure they would perform well on the exam."
In this test center in Deyang City, more than 2 thousand high school seniors are now on their way back to Mianzhu city, after finishing the exam.
Tang Xiaowo, vice director of Sichuan Education Department, said, "We had 77 test centers in 45 counties. All students in these centers finished the exam successfully."
Educational experts say while the Wenchuan quake has definitely affected the students' preparation for the exam, with an extra month of studying and adjustment, most of these students should do well on the exam.
