S. Korean Ambassador meets Japanese Deputy FM

South Korea's Ambassador to Japan, Kwon Chul-hyun, arrived in Seoul after his country said it would recall its ambassador over an island row.

Kwon met Japanese Deputy Foreign Minister Mitoji Yabunaka on Tuesday before heading to Seoul. Kwon's protesting over Japan's ownership claim of two islets in the Sea of Japan. He is demanding Japan take proper measures and warned Japan of "much loss" from the matter.

According to the Japanese Foreign Ministry, Yabunaka stressed Japan's stance but has called for cooperation to deal with differences.
