The first group of 181 children from China's quake-hit provinces of Sichuan and Shaanxi will fly to Russia on Thursday. They will stay at the "Okeah", the All-Russian Children's Center, in Vladivostok, for a three-week vacation aimed at helping them to recover from their ordeal.

To make them feel at home, the center has bought 5 tons of rice and employed four cooks from Beijing to cater to their tastes. "Okeah" will also allocate 200 staff members to take care of the children, including 50 teachers and over 30 interpreters. Most of them are university student volunteers who speak Chinese.
