Quake-affected kids enjoy holiday in Russia

Children from the Sichuan quake zone are enjoying their holidays at the Little Hawk rehabilitation center in Russia. For many of them it was their first chance to visit a beach.

Children from the Sichuan quake zone are enjoying their  holidays at the Little Hawk rehabilitation center in Russia.  For many of them it was their first chance to visit a beach.

The children are settling in well at the rehabilitation center near the Black Sea. They made some new Russian friends on their way to the beach.

The children played soccer and made sandcastles. Instructors from the Little Hawk rehabilitation center say they are pleased to see the children enjoying themselves.

Russian instructor, said, "The children were well disciplined and have good manners. Even though we have some language barrier, they still behave themselves."

The center has arranged many activities for the students, including physical exercise, sightseeing, and language and cultural lessons.

Chinese student, said, "Once I return to China, I will record all my experiences and feelings on my blog. I will also send letters to the friends I made in Russia. I hope that this will help build our friendship."

It is hoped that the children's bad memories of the quake will have begun to fade by the end of this trip.
