Medvedev hosts Belarussian President

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev met with Belarussian President Alexandr Lukashenko for informal talks in Sochi on Tuesday.

The leaders discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation by forming a single economic space and boosting trade and cooperation in the fuel and energy sector.

The talks also focused on preparations for a session of the Collective Security Treaty Organization scheduled for September 5th, and a meeting of leaders from the Commonwealth of Independent States on October 10th.
