Biden officially nominated as Democratic VP candidate

DENVER, the United States, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) -- Joe Biden was officially nominated as Democratic vice presidential candidate on Wednesday night at the National Convention in Denver, Colorado.

Voting by voice, Nancy Pelosi, House Speaker, said that since there is no objection to the nomination of Biden and no second candidate, the Delaware Senator won the nomination.

She also said that Biden has expressed the will to accept the nomination as Obama's running mate.
