UN Chief welcomes DPRK-US agreement

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has welcomed an agreement between the DPRK and the US on de-nuclearization verification measures.

In a statement on Monday, Ban said the accord will allow for the resumption of the six-party process and related activities.

He urged all the participants of the talks to redouble their efforts to meet their respective obligations and to complete the "disablement phase" as soon as possible.
