Election day in the US is still more than two weeks away, but some voters are already casting their ballots.

Early voting began in North Carolina Thursday, and ends November the 1st.

Election officials and both campaigns are encouraging citizens to take advantage of early voting to ease the strain on polling stations on election day.

Early voting also allows those who missed the voter registration deadline to register and cast a ballot at the same time.
