Data from the Xi'an satellite monitoring center shows both satellites separated from the carrier rocket and entered orbit 12 minutes after blasting off from the Taiyuan Launch Center.
This is the one hundred and tenth successful launch of a Long March Series carrier rocket. The two satellites have a life expectancy of two years, and will replace the satellites launched in 2006.
They will conduct experiments on space exploration and other space-related scientific projects.
