WASHINGTON, Nov. 5 (Xinhua) -- The following are the Electoral College votes projected to win by major U.S. presidential candidates as of 0100 EST Wednesday (0600 GMT), according to U.S. television networks.

Republican John McCain 155 Electoral Votes

Democrat Barack Obama 338 Electoral Votes

Unsured 45 Electoral Votes

Under U.S. election system, a candidate must get 270 of the 538votes in the Electoral College to win the presidency.
