Young US politicians visit China

A group of young politicians from the United States is paying a two week visit to China. It is part of the youth interaction programme initiated by the All China Youth Federation and American Council of Young Political Leaders.

Since 1979, the two countries have exchanged more than 50  groups of young politicians.

The delegation consists of the congressmen from several states, and representatives from the business sector. All members are first time visitors to China, and have expressed a strong desire to know more about the host country.

While attending a reception marking the thirtieth anniversary of China-US diplomatic relations, they spoke highly of the future for bilateral cooperation.

They are also confident they will overcome the hard time the US is experiencing right now.

Since 1979, the two countries have exchanged more than 50 groups of young politicians. Many of these people have obtained successful postings in political and business sectors.
