An inventor in Canada wanted to develop an android to care for the elderly. But the robot soon turned into something more.

She's spunky as well. Her inventor tested her patience by fidgeting around as she tried to feed him, eventually telling him to feed himself.

Once Aiko has been perfected, Le Trung hopes to sell clones for use as home helpers. He says with enough sponsors, he can mass-produce the robot and sell it for about 500 US dollars each.
