30th anniversary of China-US ties marked

The Chinese embassy in the US has held a reception to mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of China-US diplomatic relations.

About five hundred people, including US treasury secretary Henry Paulson, attended Tuesday's event.

Ambassador Zhou Wenzhong said both countries have benefited a great deal from the three-decade development of bilateral ties, and China is willing to work with the US to expand cooperation. Paulson also spoke highly of the bilateral relationship, adding that future development is crucial to both nations.
