Many international and non-governmental organizations have been racing against time to bring relief materials, medicines and medical professionals into the troubled area.
Joining us on the telephone is Mr. Dick Van Der Tak, Executive Director of Medecins Sans Frontieres, at the Hong Kong office, an international medical and humanitarian organization. Hello, Mr. Van Der Tak, thank you for joining us.
Question 1: Can you tell us more about the magnitude of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza?
Question 2: What are some of the major difficulties faced by residents, and what relief materials do they need the most?
Question 3: We know there are quite a number of international doctors and medical professionals carrying out voluntary work in Gaza. Could you tell us more about what your organization is doing, and some of its major obstacles?
