Braving frigid temperatures, people stood waving at crossroads along the way to Wilmington.
Biden and his wife greeted the future First Family in Wilmington by wishing Michelle Obama happy birthday. She turned 45 on Saturday. Then the president-elect attended a brief ceremony and addressed well-wishers at the Wilmington train station before boarding the train.
Obama said, ""Now it falls to us to ensure that everyone in this country can make it if they try. Now it falls to us to pick ourselves up and reach for the promise of a better day and to work hard every single day together to perfect our union once more. Thank you very much, Wilmington."
