The British foreign secretary met separately with Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari and Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani.

Miliband said the war on terror depends on Pakistan's participation, and called on the two sides to defuse regional tensions in Kashmir.

Miliband said war wasn't in either side's interests and called on Pakistan to do more to solve its problems with India.
