Obama: U.S. in midst of crisis

WASHINGTON, Jan. 20 (Xinhua) -- U.S. President Barack Obama said here on Tuesday that the country is now in the midst of a crisis, as it is at war against a network of hatred and violence and also seeing its economy badly weakened.

The president made the remarks in his inaugural address on the West Front of the U.S. Capitol, shortly after his swearing-in.
