DPRK ready to strengthen co-op with China

The Prime Minister of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Kim Yong II, has met with CPC official Wang Jiarui head of the International Department of the Party's Central Committee, in Pyongyang.

2009 is the "Year of DPRK-China Friendship" and that the  DPRK is ready to expand cooperation in fields such as the  economy and trade.

Kim said the DPRK-China friendship has a long history and is rooted in the hearts of the two peoples. 2009 is the "Year of DPRK-China Friendship" and that the DPRK is ready to expand cooperation in fields such as the economy and trade.

Wang said top leaders of the two countries have attached great importance to the ties a guarantee for their steady development. He said China is willing to work with the DPRK to boost ties at all levels as well as cooperation for mutual benefit. The two officials also discussed regional and international issues.
