Dmitry Medvedev was speaking Friday on his visit in Uzbekistan. He hopes that the new Obama administration would do better than its predecessor in stabilizing Afghanistan.

Medvedev also said that working with the US on transit routes must be "full-fledged and equal."

US and NATO forces currently get most of their non-military supplies from shipments that cross Pakistan where convoys face security risks.
