America's top envoy to Pakistan and Afghanistan, Richard Holbrooke, has met with Pakistani opposition leaders in Raiwind, to help form the basis of future US policy decisions.

During his three-day visit in Pakistan, Holbrooke held talks with Pakistan's civilian and military leaders.

He also visited Peshawar and the strategic Khyber Pass as he works on developing President Obama's policy for the region.

After meeting with Nawaz Sharif, head of the country's main opposition party, Holbrooke said he understood how many Pakistanis felt about US drone attacks inside the country's borders.

Holbrooke will also visit Afghanistan and India in the coming days as part of his tour of the region.
