China, U.S. to hold defense meeting in Feb.

BEIJING, Feb. 21 (Xinhua) -- Defense ministries of China and the United States are to hold an annual work meeting this month, a spokesman of the Chinese Defense Ministry said.

David Sedney, US deputy assistant secretary of defense, will visit China Feb. 27-28 for a meeting with the head of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Chinese Defense Ministry.

The news was released as US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton is in China for her first Asia trip since assuming office.
