Firecrackers are ready to welcome the New Year.
Eating "Gutu" during the New Year's eve banquet is another Tibetan tradition.
"Gutu" is made of wheat flour. Tibetans wrap things in the Gutu, such as beans, salt, coins and even goats' hair - all have different meanings.
A Lhasa resident said, "What I have here is goat hair being rolled inside the Gutu, which implies the accumulation of wealth. It's a good sign."
