Tuesday was the eve of the Tibetan New Year. People were busy with last-minute cleaning, and preparing for the big festival feast.

Festival preparations are always busiest the day before. And the Tibetan New Year is no exception.
In Soinam Zhoigar's home in Lhasa, everybody is cleaning the house and preparing food for the traditional banquet and customs.
