Party leaders join NPC group discussions

Li Changchun, a senior Party leader, joined the group discussion of Sichuan province. He encouraged the quake-hit area to continue tenacious and persistent efforts in post-disaster construction. And he also said the province should make strides in economic development by employing both cultural and tourism resources.

Vice president Xi Jinping held a discussion with NPC deputies from Shanghai. He encouraged the country's economic hub to support the service industry's growth and develop into a center for international finance, trade and shipping.
