Roadside bomb kills 4 US soldiers in Afghanistan

A roadside bomb has killed four US soldiers in Nangarhar Province in eastern Afghanistan. The troops were part of the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force, or ISAF.

Officials said the Sunday attack was carried out using an improvised explosive device the Taliban's weapon of choice against Afghan and foreign troops.

Last year,NATO reported the number of such attacks rose by 30 percent. But, ISAF claims progress has been made in Nangarhar and remains hopeful for the future.
