2 Israeli officers dead in W. Bank shooting

Security and rescue officials say that two Israeli police officers have been shot dead in the West Bank.

The officials said on Sunday that the officers were in a car that came under fire by Palestinians.

Israel's rescue service said it found the police vehicle upside down with one officer dead.

And efforts to revive the other failed. The incident occurred near the West Bank settlement of Massua. It was the first fatal shooting in the West Bank since April 2008.
