Leaders at Chile Summit comment on G20 meeting

Leaders from Latin America, Europe and the US have closed a summit in Chile with promises of quick and concerted measures to revitalize the world economy. The statements came in response to the massive protests in Europe ahead of the G20 summit.

At the Progressive Governance Summit, British Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, said the G20 summit will respond to the protesters. He said they will establish measures that will help create jobs and stimulate businesses. US Vice-President, Joe Biden, said his government is moving rapidly to change some policies that negatively affect the world economy.

Leaders from other countries including Brazil and Chile reiterated their demands for improved regulation of the global financial markets.
