There are more than 20,000 Chinese living in Prato. They constitute one tenth of the city's total population, making it one of Europe's cities with the highest proportion of Chinese residents. The Tibetologists impressed the participants with a detailed description of the March 28th's Emancipation Day of Serfs in Tibet. They said history will remember the day 50 years ago when serfs and slaves became the owners of their region.
The true picture of Tibet presented by the scholars strengthened the participants' confidence in supporting their own country and telling more Italian people about the real Tibet.

Zhang Yun, Delegation Leader of Chinese Delegation of Tibetologists said "The questions we face in Tibet are mostly questions of development, and more importantly, solvable ones on the process of development. It's totally different from the Dalai clique's lies. History speaks for itself. It will help dissolve rumors and misunderstandings, and lead us to the truth."
