GAZA, March 31 (Xinhua) -- Deposed Hamas premier Ismail Haneya on Tuesday said Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu's rightist government may be clearer than the previous government that calls for peace.
"There might be governments clear in their stances in the (Israeli) entity and this is better than governments killing, destroying, blocking and talking about peace," said deposed Hamas' premier Ismail Haneya as he compared with the previous Israeli government, led by centrist Ehud Olmert and the new Israeli government of Netanyahu.
Netanyahu's government is scheduled to swear in this afternoon.
Meanwhile, the Hamas administration of Gaza Strip said there is no difference between Netanyahu's government and the previous Israeli governments.
"We think the Israeli occupation is choosing between the worse and the worst," said Taher al-Nounou, spokesman for the Hamas government.
In December and January, the outgoing Israeli government launched a 22-day offensive into the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip, killing more than 1.300 Palestinians in the bloodiest war since 1967.
