At their joint press conference, Gordon Brown said a minimum of 100 billion US dollars is needed from G20 countries to boost trade finance.
He said the G20 leaders' meeting in London must give confidence to the global economy and give people in all countries renewed hope for the future.
Barak Obama said his country is committed to doing whatever it takes to stimulate growth.
He noted that G20 nations will not be able to agree on every point. But he called on G20 countries to reject protectionism and support emerging markets.
