China, France announce high-level contact

China and France says they will conduct high-level contact and strategic dialogues at an appropriate time.
Wednesday's announcement was made in a press communique released by Chinese and French foreign ministries in both Beijing and Paris.

China and France reaffirmed that they attach great importance to bilateral relations.
They said they would work to strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership on the basis of mutual respect and taking into account of each other's fundamental interests.
The two countries reiterated their adherence to the principle of non-interference in each other's internal affairs.
France said it recognizes the importance and sensitivity of the Tibet issue and reaffirms its adherence to the one China policy and the position that Tibet is an integral part of Chinese territory.
Based on this spirit and the principle of non-interference in each other's internal affairs, France says it does not support any form of independence for Tibet.
The two countries said that China and France shoulder major responsibilities in maintaining world peace and promoting development.
The two sides say they will strengthen dialogue and coordination and jointly respond to global challenges including the international financial crisis.
