Barack Obama said, "It creates instability in their region and around the world. If they want to take an appropriate path to rejoin the international community and break out of their isolation, that is available to them. That's not the path they are taking right now and we intend to work with international community to deliver a strong message."
Obama said all nations must strive to rid the world of nuclear arms. Declaring the future of mankind at stake, Obama said the U.S. has a moral responsibility to lead because it is the only country which has used nuclear weapons. He promised the US will reduce its warheads and stockpiles, and negotiate a new Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty with Russian this year.
