South Korean lawmakers have passed a resolution condemning Sunday's rocket launch by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

Only 8 out of 175 members of South Korean National Assembly failed to support Monday's vote.

Prime Minister Han Seung-soo said South Korea should now re-examine the restrictions on its own missile programme.

Currently a pact with the US limits South Korea's ballistic missiles to a range of less than 300 kilometers, but it also has cruise missiles that can fly much further.
