President Hu meets foreign guests

President Hu Jintao has met with visiting New Zealand Prime Minister John Key, and Papua New Guinea Prime Minister Michael Somare.

They are in China for the 2009 Bo'ao Forum for Asia this weekend in Hainan Province.

Hu Jintao said China is willing to strengthen cooperation and exchange with New Zealand under the basis of mutual respect and equality and mutual benefit.

China want to strengthen coordination in the UN, the climate change and regional cooperation with New Zealand.

John Key said New Zealand wish to push forward the bilateral relationship, and promote the economy and trade cooperation with China.

When meeting with Somare, Hu Jintao said China supports its enterprises investing in Papua New Guinea. Somare said Papua New Guinea respects China's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

He thanked China's help, and wants to enlarge the two countries' cooperation in various fields.
