Mainland, Taiwan to hold new talks

The State Council's Taiwan Affairs Office says the Chinese mainland and Taiwan are planning to hold a new round of talks in late April or early May. This will be the third round of talks between the mainland's Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Strait, or ARATS, and the Taiwan-based Strait Exchange Foundation, or SEF.

The Taiwan Affairs Office says representatives from the  two organizations have already met to discuss the time  and location of the cross-Strait meeting.
