President Hu Jintao meets agricultural students

President Hu Jintao has visited Beijing's China Agricultural University, ahead of Chinese Youth Day on Monday.

China Agricultural University has made great contributions to the country's agricultural education and scientific research.

Hu Jintao visited some laboratories and asked about the latest developments in agricultural technology.

He said agricultural development requires strong scientific support. The President said he had great hopes for the students.

President Hu Jintao, said, "It's not an easy task to feed 1.3 billion people in China. The issue basically depends on technology. So, there's ample room for your abilities. I hope you will contribute to the country's agricultural development."
